The following databases contain company financial information including balance sheet and income statement data, ratios, and cash flow data:

Mergent Online

• Current and historical financial information on 15,000 US (both active and inactive) public companies listed on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchanges
• As Reported, Prelims, Standardized, and Restated figures are available
• 15 years of annual/quarterly data are available, and sometimes more
• Data is downloadable to Excel
• Easy access to SEC filings and annual reports
• How to get to:
  • Enter a symbol or company name to do a Company Search
  • Select the Company Financials tab
    
    
    

Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage

• In the Simple Search box on the home screen, enter a company name or ticker.
• When you are viewing the record of the company you are interested in, you can select Financials from the menu on the left (under 'Vital Statistics') to see basic data
  OR
• Select Compustat Excel Analytics from the menu on the left to see more detailed data.
• Use the Reports pull-down menu to choose between the types of financial reports.

Capital IQ

• This database is only available in the BIC and is not accessible remotely.
• Use the search box at the very top of the screen to find a company
• Look at the Financials/Valuation menu on the left side of the screen

Factiva

• Select the Companies/Markets tab.
• Select the Company subtab.
• Search using company name or symbol.
• Once you are looking at a company record, select Financial Results from the menu on the left. 

LexisNexis Academic

• In the Get Company Info box on the Easy Search page, search for a company by name or ticker symbol.
• After selecting the company you are interested in, select 'Overview' from the Financials section on the left.

Bloomberg

• This database is only available in the BIC and is not accessible remotely.
• One of several different ways to get to this data-- Type in the ticker symbol, press the yellow F8 Equity key, type FA, press Go.
• Example: PEP [F8 Equity] FA to get to the menu for PepsiCo's financials.

Morningstar Direct

• This database is only available in the BIC and is not accessible remotely.
• Type the name of the company in the Search for box at the very top of the screen. 'In Securities' displays in the pull-down menu next to the search box.
• Select the company you are interested in, and from the window that pops up, look in the Financials category on the left side for income statements and balance sheets.
