Directories
The following sources allow you to build a list of companies, both public and private, based on certain criteria (state, city, sales, etc.).
- Great online directory of manufacturers, distributors, and service providers.
- Small companies that manufacture very specific products are included.
- Over 67,000 categories.
- Very basic information about companies.
- In the 'Available Databases' section, hover over 'U.S. Businesses' OR 'U.S. New Businesses' and click Search.
- Select the 'Custom Search' tab.
Dun & Bradstreet's Million Dollar Database
- Very basic information about companies.
- Select 'Advanced Search >>' from the opening screen.
Business & Company Resource Center
- Select 'Search Now' link under the Company Search section.
- Entering a code here will return you a list of companies that classify themselves in an industry.
- From the home page, select 'Companies' in blue from the options on the left side of the screen.
- Select 'Dossier Create a Company List'.
