Contains full-text, keyword searchable articles from over 1,500 American magazines published from 1740 to 1900. Search words of the time period, e.g. “typewriter girl*”, “New Woman”, “women and work.”

British Periodicals Online.

Contains full text, keyword searchable articles from hundreds of periodicals from the late seventeenth to the early twentieth centuries.

Periodicals Index Online.

Indexes hundreds of periodicals world-wide from the seventeenth to the late twentieth centuries, but provides the full text to only a few hundred in a related database titled Periodicals Archive Online.

Social Theory.

A collection of full-text searchable books and articles by major and minor social thinkers from the 18th to the 20th centuries, such as Jane Addams, Simone de Beauvoir, Soren Kierkegaard, etc.
